Wine serves as a centerpiece of Jewish life. From weddings to brit milah, and from Shabbat to the Passover Seder, wine is the divine choice of sanctification. For centuries, the production of wine in Israel was stagnant, and the primary focus was on its supply, not its quality. Now the culture of winemaking in the Land of Israel is flourishing, with a plethora of wineries cultivating different soils and climates — including even the sands of the desert — to produce unique-tasting, high-quality blends.

The return of winemaking to Israel is not only a sign of economic prosperity, but also spiritual renewal. Wine reveals the power we have to uncover the true potential in the world around us. If the simple grape can be cultivated into a beautiful bottle of wine for all to enjoy, so too, in every area of life, we have the ability to produce anew and positively influence the world around us.
