Walking along the beach as a photographer, I am alert for the right moment, searching for the optimal location and angle to enable me to record and share my sense of awe. It is not unlike the experience of searching for the right words to express my wonder of God–drawing on the power of speech within, and on the vast ocean of source material our Tradition provides. The waves of the sea, too, are my teachers of prayer, unceasingly calling forth the majesty of the Creator in whispers and in thunder.
