Artist Reflections

Physically connecting with the surroundings—removing my shoes, stepping into the water, and feeling the saturated sand between my toes—allows me to immerse more deeply in the calm of the present moment. In order to transmit that sensation of calm presence, I photographed this sunset just north of Herzliya in a way that the moving water is smoothed to a constant ephemeral reality, while the still rocks and growth maintain their crisp detail.
